Art Auction Quilt - Part Two, The Kids

This is the second step in the Art Auction Quilt I'm making for the school fundraiser. I did this for a class of 4th grade students. The first step was to prepare the blocks of fabric that the kids would use.

With the help of another parent, we met with the kids in the classroom today.

It was fun because I got to link their lessons about Native Americans of the Pacific Northwest with the Art Auction project.

I gave each table a set of fabric markers and their individual pre-prepared block of fabric. We had an hour and a half to finish.

Many of the kids finished their squares, the ones that need additional time, I'll go back next week.

How wonderful! Kids are so creative and most of them just love art work...this will be a great way for them to express themselves and when they see the finished product it will blow them away.
Good luck with the auction and I hope you make BIG BUCKS...BIG BUCKs...
