Botanical Quilt, a new start

Because, as you all know, I'm not afraid to show off my 'faux pas' I'm showing you my Before and After pictures, so you can compare accordingly.

I originally chose these fabrics to make a quilt for our bed. But after halfway through, I put the blocks up on my design wall.

It was pretty evident that the blue blocks needed to go. So I took the stitch ripper out and got busy. I finally found the fabric I wanted, one that was designed by the designer (Jason Yenter) of the base pattern ~ which I modified slightly.

So here is what my design wall looks like now:

I like it better. I like that break up of the colors much better.

That is how we learn! I really like how you have transformed it. Definitely more cooperation between the colors and the patterns. So glad you didn't just bag the blocks up after putting them on the wall and stuffing them in the back of the closet...not that I would ever do that!

Those botanical prints are really nice! Now you'll have to think of something fun to do with the pretty blue fabric!
