This quilt is almost done! I am working on this project with another parent (Seda) and the top is done, now it's just the sandwich, quilting and binding left.
After 72 photographs (no exaggeration, actual number) Seda's husband took, here is the ultimate photograph of the quilt. He managed to stitch 3 together and crop the edges.
Just in case you were wondering (and you were wondering right?!) My daughter's animal totem was the hummingbird. Her block is 2nd row down, 3rd block from the left. There were two hummingbirds, she made her block with flowers.
What a fun project! Is that totem pole fabric on the border?
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing...The kids did a great job on their blocks
This turned out so beautifully. Great choice of the red corner blocks in the sashing! What an undertaking -- I'm sure the kids and parents will be thrilled with this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great quilt! Love how the kids got so involved and were able to learn something about history at the same time!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. That is like sewing a mystery...you have to decide where to put each block. I hope it gets big $$$'s at the auction.
