Below are all the blocks I have received on this project to date, including the one I made. I'm going to use a sashing between the blocks and use the pink fabric for cornerstones.
I just can't decide if I should do a horizontal layout, or if I should lay it out on-point.
They are looking great! I do like the idea of laying them on point. I really need to get to the post office and mail some of mine out, too!
ReplyDeleteI really like that color combination, it really works well together and I like the idea of laying them on point too!
ReplyDeletelovely blocks and great colours - what is laying on point?

I love laying sampler blocks on point..though on point with cornerstones is a major pain. Takes several glasses of good white wine to get through it!
ReplyDeleteI would say not on point because your squares like the first one are going to loose their on point-ness. It's just gonna look like a regular square block and there was sooo much more work to it then that.
ReplyDeleteJust a thought. I like the fabric choices!
What's your Piece Swap?
I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteHi Dionne, thank you for visiting me today. I am feeling a little bit better, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt pieces. I think I like the idea of putting them point to point and having a plain (maybe muslin) block between each one. That way each block will show off on it's own, while making an overall beautiful quilt.
Happy quilting!
